Inside Thalle Industries’ Virtual Quarries®

  • by

At Thalle Industries’ Virtual Quarries® in Elmsford and Montrose, incoming concrete debris undergoes a precise multi-stage transformation.

Hydraulic hammers initially break down oversized slabs before magnetic separators strip out reinforcing rebar. The clean concrete then feeds into industrial impact crushers and primary screens, processing heavy rubble into uniform 3/4-inch aggregate, eco-friendly sub-bases, and recycled fill, giving structural waste a high-performance second life.

Thalle Industries operates the county’s largest construction recycling facility in central Elmsford. Both the Elmsford and Montrose sites allow contractors to dump demo debris and reload with crushed aggregate in a single local loop.

This dual-site footprint dramatically cuts truck miles, slashing diesel consumption and reducing debris transportation costs for contractors and municipalities. By processing high-quality recycled concrete close to active builds, Thalle’s Virtual Quarries® deliver smarter, lower-emission disposal solutions across Westchester County.
